I don't even know what to say, exactly. Thank you? I'm sorry? "Thank you" doesn't seem like enough, not for all you've done for me. For me, for the Order, for each other. I'd never had a family before but now I do. Which is why "I'm sorry" doesn't seem like enough either because now I'm leaving.
But I'm leaving because I know now, because of you, that I'm not meant to just keep my head down and hide. I'm not meant to restart the Order either, at least not here. But I have a chance to go and do something where I don't have to hide. The Jedi can't be a light and a hope in this world right now but maybe where I'm going they can be.
Whatever and however that looks I want you to know that I'll never forget you or what you did for me. You saved me in so many ways. I know what I'm doing now is the right thing, I know because I can feel it in the Force and because of the example you set.
Oh, and BD-1 says we'll be back so don't miss us too much. And I agree, I know our story isn't done yet but now I need to go find out what my next chapter is out there. Out in Boomtown.
